The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 is Samsung’s flagship mainstream smartwatch. It was officially released on August 7, 2026. Additionally, it launched alongside the rugged Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

The most significant upgrade in this generation is the shift under the hood. Samsung has replaced its proprietary Exynos silicon with Qualcomm’s highly efficient Snapdragon Wear Elite platform. Furthermore, Samsung has discontinued the “Classic” model with the physical rotating bezel for this generation.

The Watch9 heavily leverages “Galaxy AI” to turn biometric tracking into comprehensive wellness profiles: 

• Vitals Dashboard: Aggregates heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen into a single baseline report.
• Heart Health Score: Computes a cardiovascular health grade using long-term sleep, stress, activity levels, and BMI metrics.
• Daily Cardio Load & Fitness Index: Analyzes structural physical strain to let you know when to push harder or take a rest day.
• Gemini Integration: Includes a “Raise to Talk” feature, letting you summon Google’s Gemini AI assistant instantly by raising your wrist.
